According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, on Sunday, January 12, districts like Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Nagaur, Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Ajmer, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Alwar, Bharatpur, and Dholpur in Rajasthan may witness rain with chances of hailstorms at some places.

The Meteorological Department predicted rain in Noida and Ghaziabad districts of Uttar Pradesh today. According to the Lucknow weather center, rain is likely in these districts post-afternoon.

According to the weather department, visibility at Safdarjung was 50 meters from 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM, later improving to 200 meters and remaining so until 7:30 AM. Several areas witnessed dense fog in the morning. The IMD reported the minimum temperature at 7.7°C, which is normal for this season.

Rain and Snowfall Alert in Himachal Today

Himachal Pradesh is expected to witness weather changes today. Due to a western disturbance, light to moderate rain is likely in the lower hill regions on January 11 and 12. A snowfall warning has been issued for higher regions during this period. Additionally, dense fog is expected in many areas during the morning.

Possibility of Snowfall in Kashmir Today

The cold wave continued in the Kashmir Valley on Friday, with the minimum temperature recorded several degrees below the freezing point. Light snowfall is expected in higher areas from Saturday. For the past few days, the sky has been clear in most parts of the Kashmir Valley, and bright sunshine during the day has caused the night temperatures to drop. Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of -4.3°C, slightly higher than the previous night’s -4.4°C. Gulmarg recorded a minimum temperature of -8.1°C, higher than the previous night’s -9.6°C.

Rain and Hailstorm Expected in Rajasthan

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, due to an active western disturbance, some parts of Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions may witness light to moderate rain with thunderstorms on January 11. Hailstorms are also possible. From January 12 onwards, the weather is expected to remain dry, with the possibility of dense fog in some areas.

Cold Wave Continues in Punjab and Haryana

Punjab and Haryana continue to face harsh cold conditions. Dense fog reduced visibility in many areas on Friday. Fazilka in Punjab was the coldest, with a minimum temperature of 2.4°C. The joint capital Chandigarh recorded a minimum temperature of 6.8°C, two degrees below normal.

A yellow alert for fog and rain has been issued for several districts in Uttar Pradesh today. According to the Lucknow weather center, the maximum temperature may gradually increase by 3 to 5°C over the next four days, followed by a drop of 2 to 3°C. No significant changes in the minimum temperature are expected in the next 24 hours, but it may gradually fall by 2 to 3°C over the next four days.

Rain and Thunderstorm Alert in Delhi Today

Dense fog on Friday morning in Delhi reduced visibility to zero, affecting air and rail operations. Over 100 flights were delayed at Indira Gandhi International Airport, and 26 trains were running late. The weather department reported zero visibility at Palam from 4:30 AM for an extended period. The weather department said that on Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 15°C and 8°C, respectively.
