The cold wave continues to affect Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, cold winds are expected to blow throughout the day until January 10. The weather department has also predicted moderate fog, which could significantly reduce visibility in some areas.

Kal Ka Mausam | Himachal: Frost and Fog Alert

In Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul-Spiti’s Tabo was recorded as the coldest place, with a temperature of -13.6°C. Yellow alerts have been issued for frost, dense fog, and cold waves in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, and Mandi districts. Snowfall has disrupted road traffic in the state, and the weather department predicts further intensification of cold in the coming days.

Rain is expected to begin in Rajasthan from Friday. Jaipur, Bikaner, Bharatpur, and Ajmer divisions are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall. On January 11, heavy rain and hailstorms are expected in Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Alwar districts. The IMD has also issued a dense fog alert from January 12.

Cold-Day Alert in Madhya Pradesh

A cold-day alert has been issued for nine districts in Madhya Pradesh for Thursday. Pachmarhi recorded a temperature of 0.2°C, marking the coldest day of the season. In Bhopal, the cold broke a 10-year record, with the minimum temperature at 3.6°C. The cold is expected to intensify further in the second week of January.

UP: Fog in 28 Districts, Rain and Hailstorm Likely

In Uttar Pradesh, dense fog has disrupted daily life in 28 districts, reducing visibility to just 100 meters in several areas. Agra and Etawah were the coldest districts, with a minimum temperature of 5.6°C. The IMD has predicted rain and hailstorms starting January 11. Frosty winds are expected to increase the chill further.

Rain and Cold Wave in Punjab and Haryana

Punjab and Chandigarh will face a cold wave for the next two days, with rainfall expected at several places until January 12. In Haryana, dense fog will cover Ambala, Karnal, and Kurukshetra. The state is also on alert for light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Dense fog is visibly affecting Punjab and Haryana. In Punjab, very dense fog is expected today, accompanied by a persistent cold wave throughout the day.
